Rosslyn Road

A folk album, a long-held ambition and a significant departure from Billy's usual songwriting. A collaboration with brother Mike, with additional music from Paddy Moloney of The Chieftains. The title track tells the story of a young boy and girl outside an abortion clinic on Rosslyn Road, observed years earlier and held until the right song came. Sally In Our Alley sets words by Henry Carey (1633–1743), sung to Billy as a child by his grandfather. Crazy Jane On God sets lyrics by W.B. Yeats to music by Mike, Paddy and Billy.
